What steps doI need to take yearly to keep my PTIN and be able to prepare taxes for individuals? Top

You will need to renew your PTIN between mid Oct and Dec 31 yearly .

How can I know my class attendance credit is reported to the IRS?

ATP is an IRS Approved Continuing Education provider, you can also verify you education status via your PTIN account with the IRS , .Top

Yes, please use the multi-registration form.

Is using the online payment secure? Top

Yes, payment is completed through a secure site : pay pal.

How is the registration confirmed? Top

Once we have received your payment via paypal, confrimation will be sent to you immediately.

Must I pre-register? Top

We recommend pre-registration, as classes can reach capacity quickly. To ensure availability of space and materials, pre-register early.

How will the charge for the seminar appear on my credit card? Top

The charge will appear as "ATP Business Solutions Inc."

Can I purchase only the textbook? Top

The textbooks are available to be purchased without purchasing a course.

I cannot attend the session for which I registered. Can I attend another date ? Top

Transfer to another date is permissible. To assure space is available and to arrange transfer, please e-mail us. All requests for transfers must be in writing/e-mail. Please read our policy page for more details

Can another person from my office go in my place? Top

Transfer of a paid registration to another person is NOT permissible as we preprint your certificates and other documents in advance .

What are the dates and locations of the Tax Classes? Top

What do I need to bring? Top

Resource materials and the textbook will be distributed at check-in. It is advisable to bring along a calculator , writing implements and note paper. While every effort is made to have the meeting space comfortable for everyone, it is always a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater along for comfort.

Will I receive Continuing Education Credits (CEC/CPE)? Top

Yes

After completing a class do I need to send my certificate to the IRS :Top

No , ATP will send that information in for you.

Will Ethics hours be available? Top

We have an IRS approved two (2) hours of Ethics Continuing Education credits.

Do I have to attend a class?

We offer internet/self study and correspondence course as well as onsite Top

How will my attendance be verified? Top

At the beginning of each day each attendee must check-in with ATP Business Solutions Inc Representative. For some CEC/CPEs, the attendee is required to sign out at the end of the day.

What if I have to cancel my registration? Top

If you register but cannot attend, you may attend at another date or request a refund.(when applicable) Cancellations will be accepted 14 days prior to your scheduled class/es and registration fees will be refunded.There is a $100 non refundable fee for Review class and $50 non refundable fee for 15 hr class (live) No refund request will be accepted after the beginning of the class. All requests for changes and/or refunds must be in writing/e-mail.

What if I need to use my cellular phone or pager? Top

All phones and pagers should remain SILENT while in session room. Please use professional discretion.

Can I use my laptop, etc.? Top

Yes, . We are not responsible for power failure or electronic issues.

Can I record a session? Top

Tape recorders or any form of recording devices are not allowed.

Is this a smoke free environment? Top

Smoking will NOT be allowed in the classroom.

What if I need special accommodations? Top

If you need special accommodations or have special requests, please advise us when you register. Use the Contact or e-mail us.

Is the Tax Class tax deductible for educational expenses? Top

Treasury Regulation 1.1652-5 permits an income tax deduction for educational expenses undertaken to: (1) maintain or improve skills in one's employment or other trade or business, or (2) meet express requirements of an employer or a law imposed as a condition for retention of employment, or status, or rate of compensation.

How should I dress? Top

Classroom temperatures vary. Therefore, wearing layers of clothing is recommended for comfort.

What about lodging? Top

Orlando is a thriving city and has a huge tourism market especially in summer and winter , if you are travelling from areas outside of Orlando and staying more than a day , please book your stay in advance .
